It has been named Chàteau Macquin after the property has been extended with 24 ha. vineyard coming from the sale, in 1887, of Chàteau St-Georges. The same year he purchased Pavie, Puygenestou and Chàteau La Serre, which were unified to become Chàteau Pavie-Macquin. François-Albert was the first agricultural engineer to replant the Bordeaux devastated by phylloxera vineyard, particularly in Saint-Emilion. He died in 1911, leaving as an inheritance to his two young daughters, 85 acres of vines. In 1948, the properties were shared between Marie-Louise, who inherited of PavieMacquin and Anclrée, the current owner's mother, Denis, of Chàteau Macquin. It is in 1978 that Denis Corre-Macquin took over the property, after the 'reign' of his grandfather and parents, on this beautiful property.

WINEMAKING: Classical vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats, covered in wood and thermo-regulated concrete vats.
